I discovered on the Jobetic site, a small dictionary of Generation Y, it's quite interesting, especially since it's a generation in which we are immersed and of which some of you are part A for Learning Millennials look for environments where the development of skills is a priority: one of their major qualities. A good hearer!!! A for Authority For the Y, the immediate superior must be perceived as a guide, with whom one can dialogue and exchange ideas in a non-authoritarian working environment. Thanks to the influence of the Ys, the old power relationship – “holding strategic information not accessible to others” – is on the way to obsolescence (see Sharing). C for Collaboration New modes of collaboration are transforming creative methods. Thanks to new  technologies, we are witnessing the creation of project platforms where teams collaborate in real time.

The Y put their management under pressure by demanding communications such as Facebook , Youtube etc. while maintaining essential confidentiality. Project management as open as possible. F for Flexibility Millennials are at ease in a changing world. Offer them well-targeted projects, limited in time and with a high educational content: they will give the best of themselves… even if it means looking elsewhere afterwards (see Mobility)!!! F for Flexibility Millennials are comfortable in a changing world. Offer them well-targeted background remove service projects, limited in time and with a high educational content: they will give the best of themselves… even if it means looking elsewhere afterwards (see Mobility)!!! M for Mobility The dissatisfaction of their expectations often leads them to change employers. Thanks to their large social networks, they have precise and immediate knowledge of their value on the labor market. P is for Sharing Millennials enjoy sharing ideas and multitasking.

They easily integrate into temporary work teams, in order to meet specific needs. Work is for them a form of entertainment and a good way to expand their social network. P like Perso It's probably the first generation that knows how to reconcile work and personal life. unlike the boomers, who have sacrificed everything to work. R for Reward The Millennials having integrated the movement of work mobility and its limited duration, they will be sensitive to personalized rewards that are therefore immediate, quantitative and qualitative. Most appreciated rewards: responsibility, leeway, participation in decision-making. Or, quite simply, a compliment. T for Knowledge Transfer In a structure that has raised knowledge transfer to the rank of strategic orientation, the Y will be an enthusiastic partner. Especially if he is asked to train his peers in new communication tools, centered around Web  and virtual networks. Y like Generation Y They were born between 1977 and 1991, grew up with a mouse in their hand, are virtuosos of Facebook networks and virtual universes… They are also called: Milleniums, Digital Natives , Yers (pronounced Ouaïers), Their credo: work in responsible companies, citizens, whose values are clearly displayed and which follow a code of ethics; a generation less motivated than the previous ones by money, but demanding on one major point: finding pleasure in work.
